We have just gotten back from a trip to Manila to get our missionary visa sorted out. We anticipated a generous amount of one week to complete all we needed but it ended up taking about 11 days. We have definitely lowered our expectations and are no longer surprised when we have to re due all our paper work or come back monday cause the cashier is closed for the day! Our visa is now in the capable hands of immigration and we will wait and see!
We were back for one day and then Theresa returned to Manila to pick up the first volunteers at the clinic. She should be back with them this afternoon. Life feels very busy but good. The kids and I have bread on the go and some home schooling to do. We wanted to say we were alive and well.
On a tragic note one of the boats that goes to this island from the mainland sunk the other day killing twelve people. Theresa purchased some life jackets for the kids this week in manila after we heard the news. The cause was overloading, and they were hit by a wave that apparently rolled the boat. There were many more people then were included in the register.
Anyways thanks for your continued support for us here.
Love the Ehelers
