Day 1 post op

So, Hannah had a great day, well as far as the doctors are concerned! She was moved up a floor into a beautiful room just after lunch, which was a very good feeling for us all to move out of the ICU! She wasn't even in the ICU for 24 hours. It is much more comfortable and has more room with less restrictions on visitors and I feel fine having Nasira with me, not so many little ones with bugs she could catch!

Hannah is such a strong little girl. She started off eating a popsicle and crackers in the morning, then on to soup and a bun, and supper was a bit of peas and carrots with Jello for an appetizer! Her appetite is a good sign of recovery.

She has been up a couple of times out of her bed to go to the bathroom and many times to get out of the bed into Daddy's arms into the rocking chair.
She was off morphine for most of the day, and then got a bit uncomfortable in the evening, so she is back on a very small dose along with tylenol and ibuprofine around the clock.
She has been doing a lot of smiling, still bossing everyone around-letting us all know just what she wants! We are hoping she is doing well enough tomorrow to have all the tubes and such removed, making her a bit more mobile and comfortable.

We have had such amazing care here in Edmonton, and are so thankful for our health care system! We have felt overwhelming peace and love from our Father, and are so thankful for the success and quick recovery so far from the operation.
Thank you for all of your great support and prayers! We feel so loved!!
