It is hard to believe Theresa and I have been married ten years now!! Time has flown by. The great part is that still like each other! We have taken a few days to celebrate, and our Mercy in Action team has been most generous in attending to as many of our children as possible.
We have been having storm upon storm here and are looking forward to seeing the sun again. We have decided we need to gut out our truck as the carpet is smelling awful after being wet for weeks. Depending on the day, we have needed to walk out as the river has been raging over the road, or somedays we just stay put and it feels reminiscent of snow days back home.
Recently we took a group of students up to a village in the mountains. The trail was turned into a creek as it poured rain on us. It was great to see some of the guys that worked for us on our house the last few months and we saw some women with whom we did prenatal visits and baby check-ups. What a wonderful honor it is to be able to bring a team of friends up to these people and offer help and develop friendships.
